| Linear Electrical Generator D-660 | |||||
Type Classification |
Linear "once through" electrical generator. |
General Description |
The D-660 generator consists of a coil and a magnet, both being housed in a magnet circuit. |
Upon a certain acceleration (i.e. firing conditions), the magnet moves through the coil and creates electrical energy by induction. |
This generator is a variant of one which is in use as an integral component of the mortar fuse type F-975. This was qualified by the Swiss defence procurement. |

Safety |
A special device placed under the magnet ensures that the generator does not function in case of accidental conditions. A safety device placed on the magnet locks it in low position after move. The magnet cannot move backwards thus avoiding any possibility of an accidental second generation of energy (e.g. in case of handling of a misfire). |
